Built by early Aslag Anderson 150 years ago in Ephraim, these buildings have served me as subject matter for innumerable paintings and drawings over some forty years. In this one, I have imagined old Aslag talking with a neighbor lady leaving his store as villagers haul ashore for winters storage a fine sailboat, the great Mackinaw type fishing boat.
