The Chimes Heard "Round the World"

When Walt Disney invited stylist Mary Blair to design a clock tower to mark the entrance to It's a Small World at Disneyland Park, she created a quick sketch on a scrap of paper during the plane trip to meet with Walt. The sketch was inspiration for the whimsical glockenspiel that merrily chimes out each quarter hour. The smiling face that tops the tower is an instantly recognized icon of the delightful attraction and has been adopted as the logo for the Disney's It's a Small World After All collection.
