Conservation framed to preserve this open edition art by Terry Redlin. Triple Custom Cut Archival Matting - Top Suede Steel Blue (with open v-groove cut), Middle White, Bottom Brown Brown Wood Frame with Dark Accent Conservation U.V. Blocking Glass
"This could be a self portrait," Terry Redlin remarks. "As a young boy early morning church service was not my favorite activity. I would much rather have been outside experiencing the healing power of nature." This image is a delightful retelling of that youthful struggle. The boy is playing hooky, fishing one last time before the creek freezes oer. His family's horse drawn carriage is headed home after the service. As the young fisherman quickly ducks behind the bridge railing, he is not noticed, and can only hope his dog will remain silent and out of sight on the stream bank below. Terry Redlin collectors may note that this picture seems faintly familiar. Last year's painting, "Evening Frost," includes the same distinctive covered bridge, stream and church. "Morning Frost" conveys its own intriguing story at a slightly earlier time in the season.
