| From the most delicate songbirds to the wildest canids, Terry Isaac is an artist who paints his wildlife subjects and their habitats with great precision and expertise, skillfully capturing the interplay of light and shadow to bring the spirit of the wild to life in his compelling paintings. Isaac believes: "To be a good artist, you need to be a good observer." One of the most enjoyable aspects of his work is the pleasure he gets from nature, which always provides him with an endless source of new ideas. "Magical moments in nature are all a matter of timing - being at the right place at the right time. Last winter, I went to Yosemite National Park for field work and reference gathering. The first few days were pretty much of a wash-out - literally. It rained nonstop. The following morning the sun came out and started to warm up the rain-soaked earth.
