Steve Hanks - Country Comfort

Steve Hanks is recognized primarily as an artist who sees into the lives of young people with special sensitivity. But his vision also extends into the adult world, as this image of the female form makes beautifully clear. "In art college and early in my career I studied and drew both the male and female figure over and over," the artist comments. "Eventually it come to the point where I did not think of them as male and female. I came to see them only as anatomical studies. Now I'm more in tune with what the human form is capable of expressing and how subtle positioning of the body can convey a whole world of emotions."
