Robert Bateman - Elk at Yellowstone
Yellowstone is famous for its geyser, Old Faithful. But if you explore the park's out-of-the-way corners, you'll discover that they possess a quiet beauty all their own. It was in one such secluded spot that artist Robet Bateman discovered the abstractions created by the shapes reflected in a forest pool at twilight.
"The running linear pattern of the trees and the perfect reflection caught my eye. As in many of my paintings, shapes and forms found in nature are reminiscent of non-objective painting." - Robert Bateman
