Taken from the third book in the Harry Potter series, ‘Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban,’ this image reveals Sirius Black’s escape from Hogwarts upon the back of a hippogriff.

Rescue of Sirius was rendered and painted by world-renowned artist Mary GrandPre, who is responsible for artwork appearing in ‘Atlantic Monthly,’ ‘Time Magazine,’ and is featured in a host of Random House publications. Additionally, GrandPre has developed artwork and scenery for the Dreamworks feature ‘Antz.’

GrandPre created all the Harry Potter book covers and chapter illustrations.
