Minutes before midnight the reflective moon is glistening through the boulevard cascading a stunning, unforgettable sea of light - purple, magenta, yellow and orange. Gazing down the boulevard the historical monument known as the Obelisk is in vision. History tells us it was salvaged from an Egyptian temple and given to the French in 1929.

Liudmila Kondakova presents the viewer with French history and her personal view of Paris. "Folies Cafe" is a unique interplay between geometric patterns, vivid colors, and a brilliant use of light. The vast midnight blue sky balances the intricately detailed design of the featured Parisian sidewalk cafe.
