Over the centuries, generations of tigers have re-enacted this scene - predator in pursuit of prey. It's a tableau as timeless as the temple ruins themselves.

"In Ranthambore, India, there are many magical places such as Padam Talao, but my favorite is Rajbagh. The shallow waters of this lake have an atmosphere all their own. I have seen many tigers here, hunting chital (Indian deer). The ancient ruins, many shrouded in foilage, line the banks as a nostalgic backdrop."

"These relics of the past provide sanctuary for the tiger and a perfect place from which to scout for prey before making the attack. In my painting.
