Since his teenage years Darrell Bush's love of hunting and fishing has informed the content of his wildlife paintings. This image displays not only Mr. Bush's obvious ability to create colorful and appealing pictures, but also a talent to share with the viewer a special intimacy he has established with his wildlife subjects. Mr. Bush's art has been exhibited by the New York Society of Illustrators and honored with a number of awards including the 1987 Idaho "First of State" Upland Game Print, the 1989 Minnesota Pheasant Habitat Stamp Print and has been chosen "Best of Show" at national wildlife shows.
